Filipino technopreneur and independent music artist Frederick Richa Puno unveils his debut single Ang Buhay Kong Hiram—a heartfelt declaration of faith, surrender, and divine purpose. Rooted in a personal journey that spans decades, the song speaks to the transformative power of encountering the Lord and dedicating one’s life to His service.
The lyrics and melody were first completed in 1998, during a quiet train ride aboard the MRT as Frederick traveled to a Christian fellowship near UN Avenue at Rizal Park. It was a moment of spiritual clarity, where the song emerged as a prayer of devotion and trust. Though the message was clear from the beginning, the song remained unarranged for many years.
It wasn’t until February 2025—two years after the passing of Frederick’s beloved mother—that the song was finally arranged. Her memory, and the moments they shared singing this song together during her visits to his college boarding house, became a powerful source of inspiration. Her influence is deeply woven into its completion.
The full band arrangement, mixing, and mastering were completed at Pop Music Studio in San Fernando, Pampanga—bringing the song’s spiritual depth to life with professional clarity and emotional resonance.
Ang Buhay Kong Hiram speaks of a heart transformed by God’s presence—fears lifted, burdens erased, and a life redirected toward service. The chorus echoes a soul’s surrender: “All I need is Your strength, because my life is just borrowed… my life is solely dedicated to You.” The bridge offers a prayer for one’s life to be used by God, valuing His love above all earthly riches.
Inspired by Romans 1:16, Frederick boldly shares the gospel through music, believing in its power to heal and save. Ang Buhay Kong Hiram is more than a debut—it’s a spiritual offering, a reflection of a life shaped by faith, and a reminder that even borrowed time can be used for eternal purpose.
Through this song, Frederick hopes to awaken hearts, stir devotion, and remind listeners of the peace found in God’s embrace.
